J.J. reports from a remote location and Joe is on autopilot due to the first school year based family sickness. But that didn't stop either of them from bringing along some topical news, "Sound Off" and a few "Last Words". Jay Forry returns as well to talk about summer movies. Which it just so happens to be a great idea for our two hosts since J.J. is traveling and Joe can barely manage to find the remote option on his Apple Watch.

Tip: Movies Anywhere
J.J. punted the tip over to Joe who tells us of the transformation of Disney Movies Anywhere to just Movies Anywhere an app which can leverage your home movie collection and let you watch movies, well anywhere. We mention it here especially because many audio description tracks are available.
Sound Off:
Phil Koster writes in;
"My wife has the LCA variant of RP so she has some vision. She has been using Windows phones for a couple years now as WinMo 8 was actually decent. So this might have to wait for after the Windows event but: is Windows mobile going away completely? Will the OS be there for 3rd parties and it's just the MS/Nokia phones going away? If WinMo is going away, should we go Android or iPhone? We can't afford a premium phone so it would end up being a used iPhone or a mid-low end Android phone. If it matters, we already have an Amazon echo, Roku, and Fire Stick. We purchase most of our digital content from Amazon. Does that put us in the android camp for ecosystem already? If you do recommend android for us, can you mention a couple recommended mid-range phones that are T-Mobile/unlocked?
Thank you very much. LOVE the podcast. Keep up the great work.
We're sad to report to you Phill that Microsoft did confirm that Windows Phone is no more.
There are many low cost Android phones out there with larger screens. And your wife could use the new microsoft Launcher as a means to porting over any services from MS that she may have gotten accustomed to using on WP.

Category: ShowsHi, You were talking about grocery delivery services. I've been using Safeway since March 2002; they've been wonderful! Sometimes I get items I didn't order, and sometimes other people get my stuff, but I've accepted that as part of the process; nobody's perfect, and we all make mistakes occasionally. I get reimbursed for missing items. Sometimes there are some good deals if you shop online. Thanks for a great show! from Mary Emerson
