As of April 1 2020, Aira will be dropping support for the Horizon glasses.
Many Aira customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the reliability of the Horizon system. Unfortunately, since the application can no longer receive updates, Aira has elected to discontinue support for the tech beginning in April.
The Samsung phone currently powering the Horizon solution has been discontinued by its parent company as well.
Aira is allowing customers to keep the Samsung phone and glasses that work with Horizon. After resetting the phone, users have the option to continue to use the device either on WiFi or with a sim card, as an Android phone. While the Horizon application powering Aira Horizon no longer receives updates, the device should continue to receive standard Android updates.
Customers who bought their Horizon solution outright should receive a communication from Aira customer service in the near future to discuss options.
Additionally, Aira is looking for a new solution to power its services and has requested that customers email support@aira.io with any ideas.
