#csun11 Audio: The Long and Winding Road to NVDA

NVAccess, makers of the popular and free NVDA screen reader, has become one of the most

feature-rich open source programs available for the blind today. In this podcast, we speak with

NVDA's two primary software developers, president Mic Curran and vice president Jamie Teh about

how NVDA got its start, some of the challenges and triumphs along the way, and what the future

may hold. The need for future funding is also discussed, along with the possibility of selling

licenses for text-to-speech engines such as Eloquence.
