The Orion TI-84 Plus Talking Graphing Calculator is now available from APH at a price of $599 plus shipping. This is the most advanced mainstream calculator to become accessible and features full access to virtually all functions of the unit. Access is achieved through a small attachment that adds several keys to one end of the calculator. Graphs are presented in several ways including via tones and haptic feedback. They can also be sent to a printer or embosser. Speech is provided by FonixTalk, a modern version of DECTalk. The unit is available through Federal quota funds for eligible institutions. We featured an extensive audio demo of a beta version of the calculator at CSUN.
