JAWS 11 Released in Time for Windows 7, Free FSReader, ARIA Support

Just in time for the Windows 7 launch, Freedom Scientific has released the production build of JAWS version 11. The first screen reader to ship on a DVD, it includes a wide variety of enhancements including support for enhanced web pages with ARIA regions and drag-and-drop capabilities, a new Research It feature which allows for easily retrieving information from a variety of sources, and enhanced support for Windows 7. New functionality for Skype, Microsoft Word, and AOL Instant messenger are also included. Of note, only Papenmeier has utilized the new braille display driver certification process for this release, which may effect 64-bit users. FSReader, the formerly $79 DAISY player, is now bundled free with JAWS. There's a large list of changes, and we've linked to it from this post.
