Blind Bargains

BBC Posts Another Blio Article

The BBC has posted another article with some more details about the upcoming release of the free Blio Ebook reader. "We will run on all platforms," said Mr Kurzweil
"People don't want an extra piece of hardware. They want to take one device and do
everything with it and they want colour screens." KNFB Reader President Peter Chapman is also heavily quoted, expressing his thoughts about the next generations of book readers. The software will include over one million free titles and 200,000 paid offerings, according to the article. Blio is still scheduled for a February release. Via BBC News

Well I don't know about "all platforms," as that would take a huge amount of work given just how many computing platforms are out there. Still, it should be interesting to see just what platforms they do end up supporting.
