Zoomvalue via eBay offers the Generic 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Key Chain for $10.65 with free shipping. That's the lowest total price we've seen for any 128GB flash drive and a current low by $9.

I'm a bit skeptical of this drive. First, the listing indicates it's a new 32GB flash drive upgraded to 128GB. How did they perform this upgrade? In most USB flash drives, the chip is part of the internal circuit board, so if they upgraded it by somehow soldering in a different or additional chip, the drive is no longer new, but instead should be listed as referbished. The other problem is that the description warns against using a tool to detect fake flash, as it says it can destroy the chip, so that it is detected as a counterfeit or fake. This is not at all true, as the tools used to detect fake flash don't write enough times to destroy or damage the chip, so this seems to me to be an obvious attempt to sell a 128GB flash drive that only has 32GB of actual flash memory. The price is good for a 32GB flash drive, but it isn't earth shattering or anything. It is, however, entirely unheard of for a 128GB drive, which only serves to make me even more skeptical after seeing the rest of the listing which warns against testing it to determine its true capacity. This deal sounds too good to be true, and in this case, it probably is.
