As J.J. reported previously, the developers of Dictation Bridge are seeking $20,000 to build their product. Now, they have released a Proof-of-Concept, which comes in the form of a NVDA add-on.
The add-on has very limited functionality, and is not designed to be a full featured release. In fact, it's not even a beta version. However, if the demos of the project from BBQ 55 weren't enough, you can now use this add-on from NVDA to test drive some of the features Dictation Bridge will offer.
According to the source link, users will be able to have recognized text Echos back to them when dictating while using Microsoft Windows speech-recognition or Dragon. They will also have the ability with this prototype to utilize the Windows speech-recognition corrections dialog correctly. Have you tried this prototype? Is Dictation Bridge something you're excited about? Your thoughts are welcomed!
