AIRA's Site Access Program Now Includes Several Airports, Grocery Stores, More; Free Trial at #CSUNATC18

The next time you visit your local airport, grocery store, or university, you may be able to call an AIRA agent for free to receive help.
AIRA has rapidly expanded their network of Site Access locations, places where users can call an agent to receive assistance without using up their allotment of minutes. The program started with a couple of airports and has now expanded to many major destinations including airports in Seattle, Houston, Minneapolis, Memphis, and Los Angeles.
Some of the locations will remain permanent while others are created for special events, such as the National Federation of the Blind's Washington Seminar or the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference. For the latter, users can download the AIRA app and sign up for a free trial and use the app and service around the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego as well as at selected venues in the city. While you won't have the experience of using the AIRA glasses, your phone can also be used as a camera for the AIRA agent.
Another interesting addition is a large amount of grocery and drug stores in Chicago and New York. Grocery Shopping is a prime use case for AIRA, especially in locations where it is often harder to locate assistance. AIRA is seeking business partners to help subsidize the service for locations such as these.
To find the current list of Site Access locations, look in the More tab on the iOS app, or under the navigation menu for the Android app. Check back often as locations are added and removed often.
