Multi-Finger Gestures May Be Coming to Android's Accessibility Services

Android is poised to get a whole new set of accessibility commands, if the developer documentation for Android R is any indication. Over 20 new multi-tap gestures are listed, more than doubling the current offerings which largely involved one finger.
The developer docs list 24 new gestures, including various combinations of double and triple taps and swipes using two, three, and four fingers. Developer documentation is often a precursor of new features that may be included in TalkBack and other accessibility services.
Many of these gestures have been available on iOS devices since the early days of VoiceOver, with Android users relegated to one-finger commands including the infamous right-angle gestures. These are still listed for anyone who may have a soft spot for this approach. The new list offers over 40 possibilities which should open up a new level of customization and ease of use. There has been no announcements made on what the new gestures will be used for in TalkBack,
We've included a list of the new gestures below.
