ATIA: Hands-on with the PAC-MATE Omni

We were able to test-drive the new PacMate OMNI and noticed several improvements. Aesthetically, the PacMate Omni looks identical to the BX and QX models. However, it is the changes under the hood which make up the significant upgrade. First, the Omni contains 128MB of nonvolatile flash memory, which means that data is not lost when the battery goes flat. Second, the Omni now runs Windows Mobile 6, which allows for increased application support and functionality. Other highlights include Microsoft office2007 support, a PowerPoint viewer, and Windows Live Search. The upgrade costs $299 for those with a current ASA and PMA, and $699 for those who don't possess either.
