Quite frankly, we would have been surprised if an announcement about KeySoft version 8 wasn't made at ATIA. HumanWare has released details for the forthcoming update to the BrailleNote mPower and PK, which will be available sometime in March. Among the new features is support for several new book formats including Audible.com and NIMAS offerings. Support for the new Bookshare files is also planned. Other features include an expanded array of supported printers, the future availability of a trial version of Sendero GPS, and support for the Google Talk instant messaging client. It'll cost one SMA count for current users, or it's free if you purchased your unit after January 1.
