new iPod Shuffle Talks, just like the Nanos

Apple has released the 3rd generation of the iPod Shuffle, one of its smallest player's to date. Of particular interest to Blind Bargains readers is the VoiceOver feature, which will speak the song titles and playlists on the player with the help of iTunes version 8. This is the same enhancement released for the Nano series last fall. The new model sports 4GB of space, or about 1,000 songs. Apple chose an interesting design tactic by moving the controls for the shuffle to the earbuds. This allows for a smaller unit but means you must use Apple's earbuds, at least for the moment. It retails for $79, and we'll certainly post deals as we find them. Via Gadget Lab
