With all of the innovations coming out recently for cellular devices, we are happy to announce another concept recently announced by Nokia. Just yesterday, Nokia released an application for the new S60 5th edition devices called Braille Reader. This application can be found by navigating to the link above.
From what we know thus far, this application runs in the background an when one receives an SMS, the message is brought to the foreground and one is then able to read it on the touch screen in Braille. The Braille is produced by vibration feedback similar to the concept of the opticon. Currently, Talks slightly works with S60 5th edition devices such as the N97 and is rumored to be fully supported in the next public release along with MobileSpeak Touch.
