Serotek has released I-Blink Radio, a radio station and podcast browser for the Apple iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch. It features an easy way to listen to radio stations and podcasts produced by the blind. While the application itself is a nice little tool, perhaps the more significant news here is this being the first application for these devices written by an assistive technology vendor. Perhaps over time, we'll see other programs such as OCR software, DAISY players, or braille translators released for the iPhone as it gains traction amongst blind users. I-Blink Radio is a free download from the iTunes App Store.
