Initial Availability of Android Screen Reader Talkback Announced


Google has announced the release of Talkback, a new open-source basic screen reader for the Android operating system. This is Google's mobile phone platform, and could potentially make more phones accessible. This version is Google's first accessibility attempt with android, and the product may be a bit rocky for now, but the building blocks seem to be in place to allow for access to the main interface and applications on Android phones.
