AT&T has introduced one of the coolest-sounding high-end phones to their product lineup. It's not often such feature-packed phones are offered by U.S. carriers. The LG eXpo is the first phone offered by any carrier in the United States with a 1GHz processor (most have one about half as fast). The phone includes a QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen interface, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, MicroSDHC card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi, GPS, and Windows Mobile 6.5. While no official support has been announced by Code Factory, the next version of Mobile Speak is said to support several Windows Mobile 6.5 devices, though we can't make any guarantees this one will be on the list.
As for pricing, Amazon.com has the phone for $99.99 with a contract with AT&T. Plus, the $36 activation fee is currently being waived through December 28. Discounts are also available when renewing your contract. It's about $449.99 without a contract. As with all smartphones from AT&T, a qualifying data plan is also required.

Personally, I don't care how powerful the phone is. I've always found Windows Mobile to have a painfully clunky interface. Anyone know if Mobilespeak 4 is going to be divided into smartphone and pocket editions like it is now? If so, I'd assume this phone would use pocket which would bring the price up to around $400-$500 depending on where you get pocket. Ouch, especially when you consider that an iPhone costs either $199 or $299 with AT&T and you don't have to add any additional software to it to make it accessible.

Mobile Speak Pocket is now the same price as Smartphone, not much more like it used to be. Also, version 4 will be the same for Smartphone and Pocket PC< it's all combined.

Now if it only included a numeric keypad as well, it might just be the best mobile solution on the market. Any thoughts on how long it's going to be before we see compatibility with the KNFBReader Mobile software?
