Eye-Fi announced an upgrade to their wi-fi secure digital memory cards. The new model includes 8GB of storage and faster read/write speeds. Basically, this is an SD memory card with a built-in 802.11N wireless chip to send pictures or other media to a computer. It's great for digital cameras and probably has other applications as well. A new mode allows pictures to be immediately uploaded and then deleted allowing for a virtually endless memory.
There's no direct A T support currently, but I could see this being utilized in applications in the future.
Amazon.com is currently taking preorders for the Eye-Fi 8GB Pro X2 SDHC Class 6 Wireless Flash Memory Card for $149.99 with free shipping. More from Wired Gadget Lab
