We believe we've found a place with the Cook Magic/Hamilton Beach Talking Microwave in stock for a reasonable price. Bombay Electronics has it listed for $99.99. Shipping starts around $16.
This is the current lowest price we know to be available. It speaks in either English or Spanish and has built-in settings for many popular foods. The blindness-oriented catalogs are selling this for $149 or more. Update: This deal is for the European model only. It may work in the U.S. with a power inverter.

Not so fast. It turns out that the Cook Magic model being sold on the Bombay Electronics site for $99 is for 220 volt usage only, which means that it will not work on standard US 120 volt outlets. Obviously, this model is designed for the European market, not the American market. Caveat emptor. Gerald
