Parlamo is currently an app that allows you to watch a movie in your preferred language, but now the company is working on adding descriptive audio tracks so that the blind can watch a film with descriptive audio even if their theater is not equipped. According to a post on the VI Phone list, " We are looking for blind and partially sighted volunteers who
own smartphones and are willing to provide feedback on the accessibility
changes that we plan to integrate into the PARLAMO app.
The following tasks will be involved in testing of the app:
- Evaluation of current user interface elements
- Provide recommendation and suggestions to make the user interface
elements accessible though use of position, voice labels and hints - Test and provide feedback and recommendations for each enhanced
accessible version as they are developed and refined
