Attendees of the CSUN conference can take advantage of the Nearby Explorer android app from APH to discover and locate nearby points of interest in the first 3 floors of the hotel.
Typically, in-door beacons are also provided in conjunction with the provided maps, to pinpoint your exact location, but unfortunately this was not possible this year. You can, however, find the name of the room or place you are standing, then point your phone to hear other nearby landmarks or points of interest. Next years conference is planned to also include the beacons.
The Nearby explorer for android app, now in beta, also now includes the indoor explorer feature. You can hear a demo of this app in action From Blind Bargains, subscribe to the nearby Explorer beta list by sending a blank email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or install the beta from the google play store
