Microsoft has announced on its blog that, with the Anniversary update to Windows 10, Edge is now its "most accessible browser ever". This includes support for "PDF files, Narrator support for address bar suggestions and instant answers, and a wide range of improvements to common daily browsing features such as tabs, windows, and favorites." It is also worth noting that Edge 14, which is the version of the browser that comes with the Anniversary update was the only browser to score at 100% in the HTML 5 accessibility test. This test goes through browsers and measures how well the features are accessible with various adaptive technology without having to resort to work arounds to utilize specific features. What they don't tell you is that Edge exposes things in a way that, for the moment, only really works properly with Narrator.

This would be great if I could get the update to install. I have a 32 gb windows tablet, have cleared out almost all of my programs, and I still get a message that there isn't enough disk space. They should keep tablet users in mind when they roll out updates!

Actually, they shouldn't permit Tablet OEMs to sell with anything less than 64 gB. Windows by itself can easily take up 20 and, when the recovery partition is added, you have virtually no space on a 32 gB tablet no matter how much you clear out.

I finally got the update to install. I'm not impressed at all. First, I use NVDA as my screen reader. There is no Microsoft Edge support for NVDA, and Edge often causes NVDA to crash. Windows Mail messages can only be read using Narrator. This is an example of Microsoft over promising and not delivering. I will be glad when I can get a Mac.
