More details have been released regarding the forthcoming version 2.0 of KeySoft which will be available soon for the BrailleNote Touch. Humanware's Greg Stilson described many of the improvements in a recent webinar.
For starters, the new KeyMath application is designed to render UEB or Nemeth braille immediately in print that looks like math. Formerly, the BrailleNote Apex would prit out math using abbreviations which could confuse a teacher. Braille Terminal mode allows one to use a BrailleNote with other devices including the iPhone, a feature which previously existed with the Apex. Support for wireless braille embossing using the Romeo 60 and Juliet 120, which is also sold by HumanWare, is also included in this update. In addition, if you have .BRF and .BRL files from older notetakers, you will no longer be left hanging using the KeyBRF app. Also, as previously anounced, the KNFB Reader app will come to the BrailleNote Touch in this update free of charge. Other bug fixes and minor improvements are also included. For more, you can watch the webinar which details and demos many of the new features.
