#csun10: I.D. Mate Summit is even Smaller, Lighter

We got a chance to look at the I.D. Mate Summit from En-Vision America, and it is indeed tiny. It basically looks like a shrunken version of the Omni, with a similar form factor. The compact flash slot is replaced by the more modern and compact SD format. It's also only 7 ounces, less than half the weight of the old unit. It retails for $1,299, though we already posted it for $100 less. Current Omni owners can trade in for the Summit for $799 for a limited time. If you're feeling more nostalgic, refurbished I.D. Mate Omnis are being sold for $699 while supplies last.
