Blind Bargains

Free Wi-Fi, Online Newspapers from Starbuckks

Starbucks has announced the availability of free WI-Fi access in all company-owned stores by July 1. They are joining a growing number of merchants who have ditched their paid hot spots in favor of free services. In addition, Starbucks customers will be able to access paid sites such as the Wall Street Journal through a new partnership starting this fall. It will allow customers to access paid content on these services, which also opens up some potential access to new materials for free, as long as you're willing to suck down a latte while doing it. Of note, the new York Times has also been contemplating charging for its news content, but is a listed partner on this new Starbucks service as well.
