Perkins Products has introduced two more Seika braille displays stateside. The Seika 4 includes Bluetooth capabilities in a 40-cell design. It's compatible with all major screen readers plus the iPhone and iPod Touch and available for $2,995. Of note, the bluetooth battery sits outside of the display, making it a bit less compact. Meanwhile, the most affordable 80-cell braille display was introduced. Available for $3,900, the Seika 80 dramatically undercuts others in this arena with a display suitable for call centers and programmers. At this price, that's less than $50 per cell and around $6 per dot. While still not within everyone's budget, it's certainly a trend which we hope continues. Both models are available now.
