In part, I purchased the iPod Touch 4G to use Digit-Eyes. I have been anxiously awaiting this release and was not disappointed when it came down the pipe today. It works in room lighting in my kitchen, and very quickly identified several items in my pantry. I was surprised at how fast the results come once the bar code is identified. It will likely take me a little bit to get used to how far to hold the camera from the item, but it's pretty easy to just point, double tap, and slowly pull the camera away from the item. I'm looking forward to getting some voice and text labels happening. I hope Digital Miracles has enough success to inspire them to create other apps.
