Today we will be talking about a company called Survey Savvy. This company is a good starter because it’s surveys are very simple and accessible. They are unique in that when you do not qualify for a survey you get put into a drawing to win many small prizes instead of a small number of large cash prizes. This means you are actually fairly likely to win something even if you don’t complete the entire survey.
The sign up process is very straight forward. Simply visit the Survey Savvy Site. Fill out your personal details, accept the license agreement, and you’re on your way. The site may ask you more profiling questions to help match you to surveys, and you’ll have to confirm your email address.
There are a few things you can do to make the most out of this site. Fill out your entire member portrait as soon as possible. This will match you to surveys so that you qualify for more of them. If you see a message with a subject line such as: A unique opportunity from Survey Savvy do it even though it does not offer any actual cash. These are usually invitations to private communities which pay you for ongoing participation. If you don’t qualify, you still go into the drawing. If you do and participate in the community you’ll get some pretty great rewards. Finally, refer your friends. Survey Savvy has a great referral program where you earn a portion of the money your referrals and their referrals earn when taking surveys. This does not reduce the amount of money they earn, it simply means you earn money without having to do anything.
Before I leave you for this week I’d like to share an accessibility tip. I’ll try to share one each week at the end of the column. If you are having trouble completing a survey a change of screen reader might do the trick. Every screen reader renders things a little differently. You might see a button that wasn’t accessible before, or prefer the way one screen reader presents a company’s surveys over another. I switch between Jaws, NVDA, and my IPod Touch. If you have access to more than one screen reader you will soon learn which one to use for wich surveys.
