Over the next few days, you will be overwhelmed with sales, discounts, and other hot deals. But often, it may seem difficult to score the bargains you really want. Here's what to expect over the next week and how to take advantage.
While some merchants have jumped the gun, many of the online sales will begin either Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. Newegg is usually one of the first to come on board, sometime Wednesday afternoon. Other stores, such as Wal-Mart, will hold off some of their deals until midnight or 3 AM Friday morning. Scoring the online doorbuster deals requires some persistance and sometimes weird sleep schedules. If you're looking for the killer hard drive or computer deal, these often appear online for just a few minutes or hours. And yes, you may need to stay up until 3 AM on the east coast to sscore it.
If you're looking for an item, act immediately as soon as you see our post. We'll usually link to the main sale when it goes live and then try to highlight specific deals as we notice them, though some of the best ones sell out quite quickly. The best way to stay on top of things is to follow us on Twitter. Many of the best Black Friday deals will never make it to the E-mail newsletter because they will be sold out by the morning. Also, Amazon will be price matching many of the Black Friday deals, and we'll do our best to point this out as well.
Best Buy offers free shipping through the end of the year with no minimum, while Office Depot is doing the same through November 28. Independent Living Aids also offers free shipping through December 31.
While Cyber Monday will bring some more sales, they often seem to focus more on the smaller online retailers. The best computer and technology deals will likely come this week, not on Cyber Monday. Also, many smaller online stores will run Black Friday or Cyber Monday coupons good on just about any item in their stores. These can be great for creating your own deal, as the big sales focus heavily on the most wanted items.
