Talking Through Identity Theft: A program for the blind and visually impaired


The Federal Trade Commission is hosting a conference call for the blind and visually impaired on July 31st to help the community learn about identity theft and how you can protect yourself. Pasted below are the details for the conference call.

Learn about the Federal Trade Commission’s identity theft resources, how you can prevent identity theft, and steps to take if it happens to you.

The FTC will present “Talking Through Identity Theft: A program for the blind and visually impaired” on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The program is free and available to the public. It will cover financial, medical, and government benefits identity theft, as well as identity theft impacting children and older Americans.

What does identity theft have to do with being blind? Everyone is equally at risk for it (depending on how vigilant you are), and everyone is going to be screwed if it happens to them regardless.
